[Resolved] Unable to Login/Launcher Errors
The issue with the North American server was resolved at May 6th 21:00 PDT (07/05/2021 06:00 AM CEST).
Error Code 20009 indicates that you did not receive a response from the server. This is due to temporary issues with the North America Elyon Closed Beta Test server. For the latest news and announcements regarding this and other issues, please join our Elyon Discord server.
The Login issues are now resolved, thank you for your patience and understanding.
We apologize for the on-going technical problems with the launcher and while we are still working on resolving all the issues, we can confirm that the Closed Beta Test time-frame will be extended. More details about the extension will be posted in our official discord server and social media. Thank you once again for your patience and understanding.
Due to the high traffic on the launcher, you may experience the following issues:
1. Being unable to login
2. White screens/504 Gateway Time-out errors
All the errors above are due to the heavy amount of traffic we're currently receiving and our technical team is working on resolving them - if you are affected, please try again in a few minutes. Our apologies for the inconvenience and we hope to see you in-game soon!

Unable to write "@" sign in launcher
Our technical team is currently investigating why this is happening to some players and working on a resolution. In the meantime, if this is happening to you, you can work around the problem by copy pasting the sign from your browser or notepad into the launcher.
Elyon client detected as virus during installation
There is currently an issue with some Anti-virus software (such as Symantec, Bitdefender, AVG and Avast) detecting Elyon_Launcher.exe as a threat. This is a false positive detection and we are reaching out to the security software providers to get our application whitelisted.
In the meantime, it is safe to add the Kakao Games installation folder to your anti-virus exceptions. The default path is C:\KakaoGames if you are unable to add the whole folder to your Anti-virus exceptions, try white-listing the Elyon_Launcher.exe located by default here: C:\KakaoGames\ELYON.
Login button cannot be clicked
If the login button when signing-in to our website is greyed out and you cannot click on it, please try deleting the last digit of your password and entering it again. This will temporarily fix the issue while we are working on a solution.
If you do not remember your password you can click on the "eye" to make your password visible, and then delete and retype a digit from your password and the Login button will be clickable again.
If after resetting your password, you still see an error message that your password is incorrect, please make sure that your new password meets all of the password requirements below:
The most common cause especially when you using an automatic password generator is the password's length! Please make sure your password is not more than 16 digits long.

Unable to receive Authentication Code
If you cannot see the e-mail with your Authentication Code try checking your spam folder and filters
You should find the email in either:
- Your e-mail's spam folder.
- The Social or Promotions tab of your Gmail inbox.
If you can still not find the email, please verify that you have entered the correct e-mail address when registering. Also make sure that if you are using software such as Outlook or Thunderbird, that the software is not deleting the verification e-mail as spam and whitelist this e-mail address:
*Please note that @gmail and @googlemail may be the same mailbox, but they are different email addresses!
For Gmail users, in order to whitelist the "email@example.com" e-mail address, please follow the steps below:
- Click the cogwheel icon in the top-right corner, and then "Settings"
Go to "Filters" and then "Create a new filter"
- Enter "playkakaogames.com" in the "From" field
Select "Create filter" with this search
- In the box titled "When a message arrives that matches this search" select "Never send it to spam"
Click the "Create filter" button
- Try to get the confirmation E-Mail sent again.
If you have whitelisted the "firstname.lastname@example.org" e-mail address and you are still not receiving the email, please try to request a new verification e-mail on our login page, with a different browser.

[Resolved] Error during installation
Our technical team identified the cause of the problem and has taken steps to resolve it once again.
Please restart your client and you will be able to continue the installation. Our sincere apologies for the issues you experienced while downloading the client and we will do our best to ensure you will experience no further interruptions in the future.
We are aware that some users are still experiencing the same error near the end of their installation (90-907%), our technical team is currently looking into it. We will update this article once again when the issue has been resolved.
The installation issue has now been resolved, thank you for your patience! You can now continue downloading the game.
We are aware of the above client error during the game's installation. We have received several reports so we already have a large enough sample to work with, thus further reports regarding error are not needed and do not have to be reported via Customer Support.
We would like to apologize for the inconvenience and let you know that our technical team is currently working on resolving this error.

[Resolved] Launcher initialization browser failed
This was an error message that was appearing for players if they tried to connect outside of our Service Territory. You can check our support list of countries here. Players outside of our service territory will sadly not be able to play Elyon.
If you are within our service territory and currently still seeing this error message, please uninstall and then re-install Elyon. If that fails to assist the matter at hand, Flush your DNS and Change your DNS to Google Public DNS to resolve this issue. Finally, please also make sure that your antivirus is not blocking the launcher.
